Becci, with about ten others, had gone with Margise to one of the ‘Flat rocks'. On a ridge, it can be said, some distance from the Akademy, looking towards the sun, now dropping from the heavens, replaced by the rising moonlight.

It was late and they desired to see the sunset, from a place, they had been told, would show them, an amazing display of color to end the day? They were NOT, to be disappointed!

Talking amongst themselves. Laughing, feeling relaxed and at ease, seeing this beautiful softening glow vanish on the horizon  before moving back, to their domiciles.

“You know, its the first time, in a long time; I’ve shared a sunset of such beauty with friends, I have a confession to make. The first time I saw the sunset, I was worried it might not return!

I realized, how much that is so beautiful and natural, we take for granted..“ She was not the only one thinking the same, some had never watched the sunset, too busy in their own lives, always some excuse or other not to just sit and appreciate, the gift from the creator.

The same, could be said of those in the Collonades, looking at the battle scenes from heroic wars, across the galaxies or peering, at wonders like the waterfalls, or the star clusters, or the ring clusters and murmuring as they stared in awe at such sights.

It was a time, when others from other worlds, could enlighten them, could talk of the strange sights, the battles the flowers, the animals, the weird and the wonderful, foods and drinks? Fashion, music?

The technologies and, and? All too tiring for some, as they yawned on their way back to their domiciles, to arrive back sliding onto the recline units and falling fast asleep.

La Toyah smiled. “Day two over with. I hope, everyone is prepared, for day three, now that, is almost guarantees when the fun really starts?” The new tutors had enjoyed a tour of the Akademy. Corky had seen a lot over the years, but even he, had to admit it was impressive.

The Knurlings? A design he had brought to fruition, well liked and used on some worlds but one, he had never thought to see here! He had been praised by La Toyah for being the designer. Making those present more than aware of his skills.

La Toyah, in fairness, forewarned them. "Don't think the last few days, for those who are new here, are indicative of what is to come! Once they get settled, that is when the real Ket comes to the surface!

Anything, from pleasant to anti social nightmare, in an instant!" He was now wondering, what he had let himself in for, relieved to see Margise accompanied by Jsek.

As, she slid into the seat next to him and Yoho he was pleased to tell him. ‘She was going to like it here’. Despite La Toyah and her predictions on what to expect.

The third day, started innocently enough. It was a trip to what we would call a museum of sorts. In the building itself, a huge collection of old world, new world weapons, transport and more from across the galaxies.

It was bound to be a firm favorite, for those into Renais, whether boy bands or girl bands or pop music, rock music, motorcycle racing, car racing, trike races and so on.

It was fun looking back, on the times when, modern technology didn’t rule with its imaging, its automatic targeting including the arrays, when manual skill and real judgment, sheer risk, chance; ruled who won, wJess Corbin Kets Akademyho lost.

The old earth; Human(a) exhibits, were always popular. From chariots to tanks, to full target arrays with sophisticated ranging. Corky had been brought along, to give them some more information.

Verona was also present, to impress on them, that basic skills such as intuition and making decisions without complex targeting and assimilator coders, would determine in their competitions, with each other, as to who won.

Some, were pleased, a little skeptical, others downright infuriated, “What’s the point of all this junk.“
It was Illia of the Jogarth, making her opinion, well versed.

Van Ea, her sister, joined her, followed by Princess Seocia, making sure her nails, did NOT come into contact with any of the exhibits. “

Its pointless! A waste, of our time.“  Ocasa, hated the Jogarth,  his retort, was nothing new to them.  They, were a waste of space, ah yes, the SPACE they infested, like vermin,“

“You won’t learn anything, cos you think, you know it all, don’t you.“ He glared at Illia, who moved to face him. She sneered at him. “We sorted you lot out, good and proper, the last time we met. Not that we weren’t glad to get rid of your people as slaves.  Illia it could be said, was not, as accommodating as her sisters could be.

He had noticed, her aggression and, it was noted by him, how she did not flinch. NOT at the slightest, confronting him, though actually, saying nothing. Her stance and those piecing eyes ? Gave him, as one might say; the jitters. He knew as well that she had a temper? He turned away, Illia jeered at him “That’s it, why don’t you run away like you always do.”

Van Ea, now joined in, making noises, not very pleasant ones. She stopped when Ameryst came over to talk to Ocasa. She had overheard as had most present, the jibes made? She moved to stand in front of Illia.
NOT that Ameryst was keen to pick a fight. Illia she had known for having extensive training in several what we call ‘martial arts’. Mixed and extremely powerful.

At the competition she had been in where Cxao had been with her she had witnessed Illia in action. Poweful and controlled; disciplined. She too had beaten down her opponents with ease and with a venomous sneer.  However, she was not the least bit, intimidated by her BUT!

She knew, Illia did not FLINCH, or move, when confronted by her. Other Kets, had become VERY aware, of Ameryst and her abilities. Thus it could be said, they were passive in front of her, or kept their distance.

"If you had seen the latest Globecast news, I doubt you would be laughing or jeering." With that, she turned, slipped her arm under Ocasa's and walked off. Some good news to impart to him? He was now smiling.
