The Human(a) would not listen to reason. The need as they say for GREED often outweigh any acceptable reasoning that travelling across the Qiverse to new worlds would allow them to meet and greet new races.
NOT HOSTILE, they would be welcomed amongst other races. Trade, knowledge and the ability to share in the FAMILY that was within the Qiverse. Of course many of you are going to argue that could never happen.
Stupidity has always existed amongst the Human(a). Even the Orians came to realize how that race was so stupid they did not realize until it was too late how many of them had been fed into their food processors.
Greed? well true, the Orians were a GREEDY lot but so too were the Aliens who purchased their delicious slurry.. Ah the food as the Orians advertised it as.
The food of the Gods.
Feed it to the Human(a). YES. It fattened up those they held captive before forcing them into the processors. The growth hormones and other additives boosted their size fattening them up and enhancing the cortisone their customers sought; bought.
Drums shipped off world. When the truth was out the Human(a) fed their next victims a form of Cyanide. That removed the oxygen key components in the Human(a) bloods..the transport for the Cortisone suffered.
Orian slurry was now deemed contaminated. They were being attacked and I do not refer to the Human(a) when I reference this. Their Alien trading partners had seen the after effects of the contamination on their own races.
Horrific and one could say suddenly developing boils, welts and worse? BUT surely they must have realized stopped taking it? Therein lies the true horror. That ‘slurry’ had content that made it totally ADDICTIVE.
Had those consuming it soaking up the addiction to the point the craving was making the Orions rich but not only in riches but in what the populace would do to ensure they got that food of the Gods; at any cost.
Lives.. slaves. enslavement AND sometimes whole colonies fell at their feet.
You see the Orions were not only a greedy race of beings but also would be warmongers.
Taking advantage of the insurrection, the misinformation that told those with the cravings that their leaders were taking it for themselves and leaving them without?
Easy pickings, as the executions of the ones who had held power the military, now fell to the merciless slaughter of them leaving the rioters the addicted, fighting amongst themselves

Forced to breathe in a kind of antidote that took away the addiction, made the ones left behind that were considere d NOT insane; compliant obedient to their new masters.
BUT that contamination had also seen many races infected. The madness, the addiction that some realized the Orians had deliberately infected them with?

Human(a) had been aided by those within Solus 3 who had opened their eyes but also their minds to the truth.

Taken over. There the Human(a) discovered a strange structure. An arch that was astonishing to look upon.
One that had illuminated to allow a huge number of the Orions to flee through it?
They are down to the last of them rushing at some speed towards the light.. for a weapon to be fired hitting one of them causing them to stumble, to fall.
The others now stop. Frozen one might say fearing the next of them would also be shot and probably killed.

One of the Rebels.. A female called Shu had moved towards the structure. Still lit, until one of the Orions moves, his body towards the Portei Semperu his hand up and it shuts down.
