Not only, the Aurora Borealis (Nothern lights) but the plasma lighting storms have become more frequent.
Violent storms in their wake.
Massive long drawn out spiralling multi coloured lightning, streaking across the sky during the night AND sometimes the day; clearly visible. Savage yet beautiful in all of its fury to watch. Anything metal is to be avoided!
Don’t be fooled though.. that does NOT, totally erase the risk of being struck by lightning!

The daytime sunshine is limited. Days and daylight are short. For anything to traverse this icy wilderness? There are, certain times of the year, that yield the longest hours of daylight. The rest of the year, the darkness prevails BUT with it,
the Aurora Borealis in all its glory.
Greenland with is melt down. raised the water levels re Oceans. Land masses having to deploy what the Dutch had done for decades as a means to stop the inrush. The Ai entity.. had needed that land mass for all of its precious resources, inadequate low intelligence Human(a), were turned into slaves and, forced to work the mines
Land was also ripped up, processed sludge for other resources. Oil, was not, considered, a precious resource. Complex chemical formulations, applied, to a wide cross section, of all, that was, the Alien beings, re transport, defensive systems, weapons and more.
Toxic waste, produced from some of the mining, could also be highly radioactive. Glowing in the dark was an understatement. Toxic waste. that the processing created, was dumped into rivers and oceans.
Some of that, produced bio spores. Killing off or mutating bio life forms that Human(a) had relied on for food stocks for centuries. We also have to remember, the number of corpses. The Ai entity had employed carbon particle disintegrators that turned Human(a) bodies into dust; fertilizers
Land based crops; agriculture? was also not needed. Enhanced enriched food supplies. were chemically produced OR bolstering the ‘donors’ diet, Human(a) flesh. Organ harvesting had been necessary until the iClones had taken over.
The iClones, for those who could afford, the more expensive reallt, ones with digestive systems and almost perfect identical biology and physiology. needed replacement organs.. OLD ones ? now replaced at a price of course.
The Star corporation aligned with Aegis had been making huge profits. Obscenely rich to the point they were now implementing new factories.. Developing mind control and other means to control their newly acquired slaves.. helped by the Orians..
NOT declaring any of them as having been responsible for the new technology, the materials and means to produce the devices, the controls and punishment modules. NOT for the Human(a).
The Orians wanted those devices, for use in their own Galaxy.. to use on those worlds they attacked. subjugated. These primitives, would be used for experimentation. dissection, disposal.
In the end the Human(a) realizing, they had no choice but to accept their fate, had capsules, which they crunched on, swallowed; IF such an event took place.
It poisoned their flesh, soaked their organs, the toxins, became spores delivering a painful death sentence, to their predator. Convulsions, hallucinations, killing one another or killing others of their own kind.
Paranoia, FEAR NO. Just pure rage that these primitives could do this. Deprive them of their experiments.. their test results.. New recruits were fed a modified version of the ‘pite’. Stronger more crippling than the original, it had one nasty side effect.. it could attack vital organs the endocrine system..
Zone 1 and 2 depending on their topography, remained subjective to the rule from the extremist rebel forces.. 
Rebel forces, could strike at them, guerilla style, attack and disappear; above ground, below ground.
Duiie was the overall commander of the earliest resistance, against the Orians. HER military skills had been honed over decades.
The last 5 years, had forced her to rethink all and any, ethical morality. She killed, without thought as to why OR any compassion, mercy given IF it were an Orian in any form. .
IClones? She hated them with a rage, a fury that saw them instantly incinerated. Massive heat from the Tritanium liquid.
Tactical and strategically she was seeing the Orians, facing an enemy, that was as cruel, as indifferent and brutal.
The Ai entity and Aegis were hunting them. Ghouls used to seek them out, those things were not Human(a) nor iClones..
Had the appearance of and identical to an Human(a) but no internal substance.. an empty shell of something that should NOT exist but somehow did.
Into tunnels or, old abandoned structures. Rebels hated them, as the rubble, cellars, below or roof tops
ABOVE them, often housed snipers or traps that killed them instantly.
Mobots, were used, to seek out the enemy BUT, they required regular maintenance ?
The iClones, those appointed and paid by Aegis.. took the payments and laughed.
As time progressed, too lazy, regularly failed, to maintain them.
Most of the ones they did have working, had been compromised by the resistance.
Reprogrammed and left, to await the final instructions. Elimination of the Ghouls, the Orian.
The Human(a)’s trojan horses, In plain site and waiting to deliver their final payload of death; to the Ghouls in particular who could never it seemed, resist the treats offered up..
Weapons systems, had been replaced. Basic sub machine gun, multi turret, rapid fire cannons.
Gone were the laser style, powerful but limited weapons. Raw fire power, that had already been tried and tested. Proven to be deadly AND, ones, that generated fear, amongst their targets.
The ghouls, realized they had not been prepared, for the use of such antiquarian weapons.
Aegis had realized the situation and how it was getting worse; for them. Too many of the Gauls were being butchered all because of ancient wepons..
Seeking to destroy them, wherever they could be found such as in the old gun stores now took priority.
YET by the time, they had gotten around to doing just that? Too late. 
A lot of the old weapons had been taken and hidden or were in use at the rebel camps.
Training was intensive and ONLY the very best, could carry some of the more advanced weapons OR become ‘sniffers’ or SNIPERS.
Aboard the space station, Ljie Nne was in charge of a communications hub. It monitored all data received or transmitted.
That included encrypted supposedly heavily protected such as that between the Orians and?
Unknown to the Orians, she could read all of their communications. The knowledge of what they were up to was something the Galacia Federa security forces and those who needed to know; knew.
Powered by a removable neutron energy cannister.
One that was wrapped in a containment field to protect the one handling it from exposure.
For those such as the Galacia Federa?
Their intelligence resources far outstretched anything that Aegis OR that Ai entity could deliver.
From other Alien sources they had reasoned there was something that was not right re the Orians..
Aegis was ILLEGALLY disposing of incinerated ash, supposedly secretive enough to not warrant attention?
Agents from Aegis, had been meeting those from the Orians, with supposed acceptable excuses for such .
Those creatures nicknamed, by the resistance as Ghouls, had had the Galacia Federa scientific team seizing one of them and examining them. What they found was horrifying.
The whole form was a silica based semi crystalline with neuron interface.
NOTHING re organs or any other Human(a) attributes. YET its skin and outer was almost an exact copy.
The skeletal structure was a calcium based bone like but NOT bone as per Human(a) more resin based.
Cola had been sent, to meet up with Duiie.
Some animosity was present. Some praise from Cola on how the leader of the resistance and she emphasized.
The LEADER of the resistance, who had brought together, trained ex military personnel but others she KNEW had skills that could benefit them?
Some rapport between them as Cola handed her a crate full of new weapons. Old style but reliable, good stocks of ammunition AND essential food packs.
The food packs, were badly needed. Feeding, those who gave their time, in fighting the Zealots?
Weakness from hunger, health issues due to lack of nutrition and more had plagued them.
Vaccines and so much more including two medisent bots to monitor their forces health and well being ?
The vaccination program was immediate.
Zealots, had attempted, to spread one of their diseases, that they had immunity to BUT, knew, these primitives {Human(a)} ? It was fatal to them. Outreach areas, they had tried, using airborne spraying to deliver their plague but it had failed time after time due to wind turbulence.
A request, not an order or demand BUT, Cola had been told, to ensure, Duiie, had to stand her forces down. Rest up, do nothing, UNTIL she received instructions to do otherwise?
The communitcation devices, were several hundred in number. Duiie, would receive the initialization codes to activate them, WHEN, they had rested and stood her forces down?
They must, ensure health and well being, was vital as what was coming would need them to be FIT and ready to take on the enemy. A defeated, beaten down and at their mercy; enemy? She would not, go into details despite Duiie’s attempts, to know more?
If Duiie, was debating the requests she was now aware of Cola placing a small crystal on against a wall?
It illuminated, flared with intense light and a crack, in the wall opened up a doorway?
Cola stepped into it and vanished.
Well that was something she had never seen before. She picked up the crystal, the light dying away as the voice of Cola in her ears? “Rest! “ It would not be long before the forces at her command obeyed her orders.
Many of them did not have the will nor the strength to do anything but desire to; rest.
Health checks, food packs and, the training was not forgotten. Fitter, stronger, more capable than ever.
A formidable fighting force. Armed, fed and ready for what Cola had told her was coming.
They were waiting for a main citadel meeting, between Aegis and the Orians.
That meeting would comprise, some of the Orian Elite. The bosses of the ones on Solus 3 (Earth) and deemed very powerful. Whatever they were gathering for could not be good.
An attempt to infiltrate the enemy, had been met with their spies being terminated.
The Orians.. had sent one of their Elites in secret to a hidden base on
Solus 3 (Earth) to their communications monitoring, reception and transmission.
The report, that suspected their communications had been compromised had to be examined and if necessary should that be true.. action taken to find and remove all those involved.
eNior was, one of the worst of the worst re any being. Brutal, savage and devoid of all emotions. To kill for IT was a pleasure. Torture and the imprisonment of victims, second nature to IT.
The Arcan, was not new to them. They used Portei Semperu technology.
This was an engineer.. nothing more nothing less. A menial being regardless of how his superiors viewed its status as above their own..
IT would not be treating this Arcan any different to ITs interpretation of a menial.
The communication breach was unknown as to where the breach was taking place.
The satellite had not been investigated.
Getting aboard that was not easy. Orians were not welcome. Some higher intelligence had found a way to make it impossible no matter how hard they tried to circumvent the security shield.
Any Orians attempting to get aboard the space station found themselves transported back to Solus 3 (Earth) and where could be ANYWHERE.. In the jaws of some wild beast.. might sound fanciful but ?
