N’Varra had reached the satellite Sibeilius, without detection. Her implant had been adjusted, scans indicated a citizen of Olonos, a nearby planet, from where it was quite common to find travellers passing through the satellite en route to other worlds?
There were a few contacts, already on the satellite, that she knew. Some, who had boarded a few days earlier, to ask questions, keeping a low profile, not wishing to draw too much attention to their purpose, on what Nvarra wanted to know.
The bar was busy. No one, took much notice of her, as she sat sipping on drinks, talking with two others.
“The consignment is in bay 5. It's still sealed and not due to leave for the Akademy, until tomorrow. LATE tomorrow.” The male leaned in closer to her.
“I’ve got you a pass, sorted with the Captain of the cargo vessel, I told him your brother was a tutor, he checked it out, signed your pass. He reached into his pocket took it out, handed it to her.
“Any news on who’s receiving the consignment?“ “Read the cargo manifest. 'To the Akademy for collection'. Nothing else on that." “Think he gets a percentage?“ “Of course he does. There were at least, four consignments, not on the cargo manifest.“ He produced a shelde, illuminated it, passed it to N’Varra.
“I checked through them, nothing cept 'Guls'.“ (Fake perfumes, clothing, entertainment units and other items).
“So its only the one consignment, that is relevant?” He nodded. N’Varra turned off the Shelde and handed it back to him. “OK, head on back to Olonos. I’ll be in touch.“ What NVarra needed was a good nights sleep, before the trip tomorrow? She headed off to the domicile unit, hired for the night, unaware of the figure in the shadows? Favor
It was pure coincidence that she happened to be there. In the right place at the right time with NVarra and that substantial bounty for her to collect?! N’Varra had her back to Favor on leaving the bar, so had not seen her enter? Even if N’Varra had tried hard, to disguise herself, well a little, so she could blend with the other passengers.
The instant Favor had seen her, she recognized her. Following after her, until the selected domicile hatch had closed. Now she knew where she was? She moved off, to a an area where several screens were illuminated? Globecast coms units. Removing a disc she slid it into a slot on one of the units.
Tapping in some details, the reply, was almost instantaneous. “So that's, how much, you’re now worth to me.“ There was smile on her face. She waved her hand over the screen, removed the disc. Weapons were only allowed aboard the satellite if, they had been cleared by Security. All those carrying weapons, had to have a microscopic imprint of the owner, lodged within the weapon. Favor? Her S7 was not cleared.
Favor had no, intentions of honoring the rules. All she wanted, was to secure N’Varra and get her off the satellite, to collect that bounty. There would be other Bounty hunters, who would seek to take her prize off her. By any means, to secure the rewards for themselves. She stepped forward, activated the screen again, this time it was to advertise the fact that N’Varra had been captured and would be traded to the highest bidder?
Leaving instructions on how to place bids.and advising potential buyers, that she would respond accordingly. She expected a sum, in excess of the figure, she was now entering onscreen. Aboard NVarra's ship. Tabreck was woken by some of the crew, to be made aware of the supposed capture.
Quick to alert N’Varra, who had almost dozed off. Comfortable in the domicile. Favor was known to N’Varra, she had encountered her before. Seems she never learns! Their previous encounter had not, been pleasant for Favor. Something she would have given a lot of thought to and no doubt the reason for her harboring a grudge enough, to see N’Varra sold off, to some real unpleasant individuals, purely so she could have some payback!
