Tasks that took priority before anything else? Replenish stocks of essentials. That included tuning the ships systems, to tweak them. Water was obtained via an evaporator system but fresh water if it could be found, passed through the purifiers was always regarded as far better!

Obsession, but then Lumor knew all too well the risks. A known risk taker, the gambler. Curious, cunning and played his cards, as they would say close to his chest. If he won, great. If he lost then the fall out from that, was thrown to the winds with a couldn't care less attitude.

“We need to send out the probes. Start the mapping processes.“ Dahhan nodded. “I can use the remote satellites to scan the surface and give us some other, essential data. Should give us virtual maps to within .01 accuracy!” “Excellent I’ll leave that to you to sort.“ Lumor moved over to where Joden was sat looking at a screen.

“Anything? No long range communication at all, no beacon transmissions, even distant ones.” His voice tailed off as he peered at the screens. " Bloody hell, these readings are off the chart! Whatever the hell this is, we may have a real problem!”

Suki and Gi, were outside the craft. They had the drones, pull out some seating and modified tables, for putting various bits on. An adapted drone approached with some refreshments. “We can’t do anything, until the mapping’s completed. Perhaps we can bring out the transporter and go take a trip see what’s out there.“ “Do you think there are any lifeforms?”

“When we entered the atmosphere we did some scans, there was nothing showing of any significance, but then the scanners arn’t totally reliable. We had a fault in the spacing units, which I fixed this morning.“ Lakir joined them.

“Caley wants you to help her start the regen modules.” Suki stood up. “Sorry Gi, seems I’m wanted!“ She left them as Gi looked across at Lakir. “Can I do anything?” “Not yet Lumor wants you to rest.“

“Given the time in those pods, I reckon I’ve done enough of that already.“ "Well you could, give me a hand with a quick systems check over?” She smiled. “I’ll go and change!” It was some time later Lumor passed her enroute to the holding area.

“I thought I told you to rest.” “ Jamie, I need the mental stimulation. I’m not here, just for your pleasures. I do have a brain and ocassionally." She grinned. "I do like to use it!“
She turned, walked off, as he stared at her.

The tight fitting service suit, showing off her ample curves. Those wide, child bearing hips, the wiggle of her ass. “Bloody hell I can’t wait to see my regenerates, with bodies like that they'll be degenerates!?" He started to laugh. Interrupted by the sudden appearance of Lakir. “I think we ought to turn on the compressor for conditioning!”

Lumor glared at him as Lakir scowled. “I suggest you, oh for ucks sake, go take a look outside! UPWARDS!“ Lumor moved outside as Lakir followed him he gazed upwards “TWO!“ “Yep you got it! This planet has TWO SUNS.They’re already turning up the heat.“

In the distance Lumor could see a cloud line forming. A grey black outline that was all too distinctive from memory.A cumulus eclusion, which could mean a storm. What had him concerned, was how bad it could get. Necessary precautions taken.

Activating the shield was almost immediate. Blocking the sun’s intense radiation and its after effects. Irradiation could be seriously bad news. “Better check for gamma and aits radiation spectrals, I’d set up a monitor unit so we can collect data.
In the meantime outside of the ships shields, is off limits, cept to you and the drones setting up the gear.“ Lakir nodded, as he moved back, towards the craft, Lumor stared at a focal point, just in front of him.

In amongst the vegetation, he could have sworn, he saw something? He peered hard, but could see nor hear anything. It was getting hotter! Must be the heat that was making him hear things! He made his way back, to the ship. The figures watching, looked at each other, drifted up, to float off, away from the ship.

Lumor, was pleased, with the latest news updates, on what was happening around him. The satellites, were launched and in orbit before the evening fell. The monitors showed radiation, but of little consequence. Far less than Earth’s levels at their peak.

“Either they’re dying stars, or new ones, they’re not giving off that much heat or radiation. Did you notice, one of them, started to go a soft blue color, as the day wore on?“ “Gave us a dramatic sunset.“ Suki nodded. “You should have seen it, absolutely beautiful!”

Lumor was not the least bit interested, in what the hell the sunset looked like. He was furious, that they had not detected the fact that the planet had TWO suns. “How the hell did we miss that? Are we in rotation around one or both of them?
Come on, get your act together!“

"One of them is mainly gas, doesn’t show like the other which is a more prominent mass.“ A unit clicked into life it whirred, buzzed and a screen illuminated. “Sats have completed their initializing routines. Now fully active and ready for deployment. Nice steady orbit around the planet. We’re OK to comtinue mapping. Will take about a day or so to fully complete.“

Dahhan, stepped over to the unit, stayed there programming it, for some time. Caley came into the room. Regen tubes, will be fully functional by tomorrow evening, at the latest. The new gels and formers are being put into place as we speak which should please his Majesty?!“

Lumor smiled, glancing at Gi and then back to Caley. She scowled.
“Excellent this day gets better and better!“
