An assembly had been called, of certain elders amongst the Cflen. The fact that Arvania was missing, taken by the strangers, heralded mixed emotions amongst them. None moreso than Loki, who had bided her time, to now seize the opportunity to take the situation and use it to her advantage.
“They have weapons! They can protect us from the Fodawke. We need their help, why are we sat here, when we should be making ourselves known to them? To asking them for their help?”
Esleha their queen moved to stand. “Until we know what has happened to Arvania, we must be careful! We assume too much, to think she is safe, too little to know if she has been harmed or where she is now!“
She pointed, to the device Tolgani had left. “We already know, they can be a violent and savage race of beings!“ It was agreed, amongst the bulk of them, they would wait a few days, Esleha could see rage, in Loki’s face at having been over ruled!
At the base, Dahhan had mellowed towards Arvania. He returned from having collected some food, mainly fruit as we would know it? It seemed to grow in abundance on the planet and was quite pleasant to the taste. Surely she would eat? He took time to give her a sedative, dressed her wounds. Offered her food with some water.
She was slow and clumsy, her body heavily bruised and some parts of her body, swollen and distorted. At least the pain had eased back. The sedative was working on her. She tried to eat, but found her mouth swollen, from where he had hit her, her lips sore and chaffed as she sipped at the water.
A while later, he decided to take her out in the craft. He was careful to make sure, no one should see her They made their way over to the hatch and into the craft.
Taking off, it would not be long, before they circled the flat rock, to drop and land. He had been talking to her, asking questions about her people, where they lived, how they lived, how many of them and more?
She was shaking uncontrollably with fear, her mind unable to come to terms with the horror of all that had happened. A terror of knowing he had forced her, that she had been defenseless against him.
He had, beaten her so badly, she had been unable, to use her secret weapon. Now this animal was making it clear he wanted answers! She was loathe to give him the answers he wanted.
That enraged him. Finally he raped her again, before using a shock device on her. That heightened his pleasure, his sense of power over her, bringing him to the level of pleasure he had not thought possible, given the previous hours when he had emptied his loins.
Twice she passed out. After he had dressed he questioned her again. Threatening to use the shock device on her? She could hold out no more. Sobbing she started to answer his questions? Her body naked and with him sated he dressed then dragged her out of the craft shoving her ahead of him.
The drugs, he had given her, prevented her, from using her wings. Not that that would have been any use. He would, he had already warned her, shoot her, if she tried to fly or escape.
She folded her arms, trying to cover up her nakedness as he continued to shove her forward. For her to take him to where her people were? In his hands a weapon. Strapped to his waist, several other devices. Similar to stun grenades.
Back at the base, Lumor had been running diagnostics on the outside defence systems, mainly the targeting array setup? OK, so he had not been convinced that Joden had anything to worry about, re those creatures? Furious at Dahhan’s absence, he had made his views, all too clear to Joden.
It was then, the Regen Lumor had adopted, appeared from the hatchway. Joden looked at it as it did a sexy dance, before starting to strip?! Lumor was NOT pleased, that Joden was having a full on eyeful of his regen, now almost naked! Her full breasts now revealed, as she went to drop the clothing from her body that would have left her totally naked?!
Joden grinned, “Surprised you’ve got any energy left, having that around!” The Regen seemed to be enjoying Joden’s attention. It went to move towards him, its naked body in full view, the clothes trailing behind it. Its hips moving provocatively, as Joden moved towards it, it SMILED!
Lumor stepped between IT and Joden blocking them from each other, which as Joden will tell you, seemed to upset the regen. All hell broke loose! The Regen Lumor had adopted, decided to go berserk!
It, started smashing things up. Losing its temper? Uhh? What the! It could be said, as Joden would have declared, emulating Lumor, when he had one of his rages to perfection!
Starting with the targetting array controls as they were ripped open, the circuitry exposed, tearing components from it. Rendering the weapons arrays useless.
If, what the hell else, could go wrong, springs to mind. What followed were the actions by two Fodawke. They flew over and dropped what looked to be a rock? The targetting arrays would normally have blown it into tiny fragments, however this time, they did not and the rock landed feet from where Lumor was stood. It created a small crater in the ground.
No things, could get worse, but could they get any worse than this? One of the Fodawke, swooped and came to land! Lumor and Joden went for their weapons, pausing to fire at it, their eyes not believing what they were seeing?
It WALKED. Like it had always been able to on two legs? Huge feet flat down, no wobbling, no instability. It WALKED towards the regen, trying to grab it? Lumor did not know how the regen would react.
It was between them and the creature. Trying to aim at the Fodawke to kill it was hampered, by the actions of the regen. It not only had a demonstrated it had Lumor's temper, but also a real streak for violence.
Trashing the targeting array consoles, might have allowed it to relieve some of its built up tension? No fear at all in its eyes, as it now stepped towards this beast and grabbed it, hands gripping hold of its throat, below the massive head on it?!
The full mass of those wings? It was throwing it back against the haul of the craft, like some rag doll, slamming it repeatedly, as it struggled furiously, trying to get its jaws around the things head!
Fingers moved, the regen moved, dragging the Fodawke out from the craft as they heard, a distinct cracking sound. Its neck snapped! The strength of the regen had left Lumor completely lost for words! The Fodawke fell at her feet.
She laughed, turned back to see him looking at her! He was apprehensive to say the least, as it moved towards him. Stopped a foot or so away from him.“Did I do right master?”
It picked up the rock, the Fodawke, had dropped, hurtled it at speed up into the sky where the other Fodawke was circling, missing it by inches, or so it seemed, from below! It beat a hasty retreat, disappearing off into the morning sky, heading away from the base. "Master, I need you! I need to be with you!"
Joden watched, still feeling the after effects of some shock on his part, at what had transpired?! They stepped through the hatch, into the craft, headed back to Lumor's quarters. An hour later the Regen was sedated and Lumor was studying its profiles, wanting anwers? How the hell, had this happened! It was then he realised it had been tampered with!
Suki had no clue as to how the targeting arrays or the circuitry worked! Eventually Joden figured it out and repaired the system, to a level, enough for it to function albeit haphazardly.
“I’m no Plasma engineer, that's Dahhan's job!” She grinned. “I’m a scieste not a bloody engineer or maintenance drone!“ “We’ll have to program one of the drones to maintain weapons.“
Suki was looking at the Fodawke, its beaten, bloody mass, across the ground in front of them. "Uck that is one ugly creature! Those jaws! How the hell did that regen have the strength to snap its neck?"
Joden grinned. Suki stared at him. "You b'stard! You better hope Lumor doesn't find out you tampered with the programming!" Elsewhere, Lumor was getting grief from Caley who had heard from Suki all that had transpired.
“It was your bloody regen, that caused the problem in the first place!“ Caley simmered down when she realized he had genuine reasons to be suspicious?
If he had, been telling the truth, about the regen’s programming having been tampered with? Was it Joden or Dahhan? She was sure, it was, one, or both of them!
