Esleha had remembered Tolgani’s words. “Beware the beast.” Yet they had always taken that to mean the Fodawke? NOTHING to compare to the horror of one of her own kind, slaughtered so violently, so mercilessly.
She had felt, the young Cflen female, reach out to her, had sensed she knew, there was nothing she could do, to help her. What use was comfort, or hope? If the BEAST was allowed to live, they would forever suffer at its hands. Doomed in the end to extinction, or as Tolgani had warned her. Humiliation, deprivation, abuse and more as its slaves.
This place was built with his help, he had shown them how to build it, then he had installed some technology, she did not understand BUT he had told her, if ever the time came, when she needed help, if strangers came, or something terrible threatened her people, to come to the sanctum.
Now they were here and all they could do, was pray and wait.
The BEAST?
No one except Dahhan or Joden, knew what each was up to. In fairness to the others, they were not so much a part of it, but they were to get drawn into it.
The final addition to the mixes, that would reproduce the new species of Cflen and the Fodawke? 4 drops of Humanaa blood! To change their species forever. The Regen profiles, the whole of their life’s work, in one way or another, with genetics and bio morphism. The final creatures, that were already breeding in the Regen tubes. One new regen Cflen, one new regen Fodawke.
Soon would be the day, when they would release them, to change forever, the race that was the Fodawke, that was the Cflen. Yet neither of them cared a jot, why should they? So what was it, that made them who they were?
The power they held, they had from knowledge. Testimonials from history. The evil, that they had found so compelling. Rape, torture, biological warfare, experimentation, the ability to crush an enemy with just one flask of ?
A people who WOULD bow to them, who WOULD serve them, who WOULD be how THEY WANTED for THEIR pleasure. Most of all, for THEIR amusement. The moment that Dahhan had looked at Joden as he cut his finger to release from it four drops of his blood adding it to the mix?
Likewise Joden, had done the same, for the Fodawke. Their signature to the life forms, they created. In that moment were both signed off as, the b'stards of the BEAST.
Two days later, they spawned and two more days to evolve. Within the b’stards of the BEAST, the four drops of blood. On the sixth day, they were complete and released from the Regen tubes. On the seventh day, they rested. During that time Dahhan and Joden added extra’s to the mix.
Elsewhere.
Queen Esleha slept, safe and secure within the Awesha. Arvania woke her as she heard her voice called. Minutes later Esleha was stood in the middle of the sacred hall. Above her the orb.
Rays of light flashed across her? Scanning her. Appearing before her a sentient figure, the holographic figure of the one she knew as Tolgani? As she wept, he asked her to tell him, what was wrong.
Parsecs later, she was asked to approach the console to the left of her. As she stepped into a small circle, by the console, she felt her body being scanned again.
The object on her forehead, glowed. Died back as her whole body was bathed in rings of light. Close to her a panel activated on its own. Other screens illuminated, the voice of Tolgani in her ears, assuring her she was NOT alone. From above her, the rumble of something moving?
The top of the shrine, raised slightly. Above them, an opening. From within ‘The Orb.‘ the voice of Tolgani. Device is initialized, activated launch in ten micons, nine, eight, and so on, until the last one micon when she saw the Orb spin at a rapid rate. It started to rise and in seconds, shot upwards, through the opening, into the night sky, to vanish into the atmosphere.
Esleha did not know what the device was. In space, panels on the Orb shifted, to release various devices activating a steady pulse. An emergency beacon? It settled back, to remain in orbit around the planet.
The same pulse, echoed from it, week after week, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute, second after second endlessly. It broadcast the same signal, hidden within it, a secret only Tolgani knew. Esleha was now listening as the voice of Tolgani spoke to her. She must trust him but most of all, she must not leave her people to their fate.
Unknown to her, Tolgani had, indeed received the data, that told him of her distress. He was in the Temoki at Ioe thoa. One of the most sacred places for the ‘Shadow walkers’. With him was a ‘soul master’. She had summoned the one she called ‘Ra xemm.’ The 13th Shadow walker and the ‘ bringer of death’. It would be it’s power, that would see the BEAST put in its place, From across the deepest darkest parts of space the Ra xemm stirred. .
For Esleha, she had to follow what she had been asked of by Tolgani. Leaving the inner sanctum, she was reunited with Arvania. Some refreshments and rest, before telling her the outcome, of what had happened? NOW they must return to their people and ensure, whatever happened, the BEAST did NOT win!
Whatever happened, some of the Cflen MUST survive. She left with Arvania to return to her own people, they were far from where they had been, she felt safe again, happy again, but it would not be for long.
It was the early hours of the eighth day, when the Fodawke broke out. Its escape had been set up by Joden and Dahhan, as had the Cflen Regen, in its wake.
The Cflen had fled on foot, she wandered into the forest beyond. In her hands she had a device, that would take her straight, to where the Cflen were! Could you tell the difference between the real Cflen female and the Regen? not on first encounter. Dahhan had counted on it. Sure enough on the ninth day, the regen Fodawke had found the bulk of the new race of Fodawke.
Walking, talking and flying. Clever, cunning and resourceful? The one aspiring to be the leader. It saw the regen Fodawke step up to it. A challenge from this adolescent smaller Fodawke? Beat the crap out of it and feast on its brains for even thinking of challenging it!
The regen butchered the bigger Fodawke without mercy, in front of the others. The b'stard of the BEAST, tore its throat out, ripped out its heart to throw it to those who had followed it, revered it? Throwing the carcass over the side of the ridge. Now he was the leader. The one who they would follow, without question.
