The new worlds they inhabited had no always proven to be welcoming. Climate, atmospherics, other species including animal, vegetable and mineral could leave their would be conquerors dead or dying.
Hence why later colonies adopted a policy of scorch the ‘earth’ with widespread no mercy cleansing.

Defenses took priority over the offensive and often the former inhabitants were become more than aware of the terminology ‘offensive’.
Some civiisations were powerful enough to have the means to summon others to their aid,.
The Human(a) had established a reputation amongst worlds of a race who were to be feared.
Obedience, enslavement and the takeover of all that was to them THEIRS.. by right, by force; now made their new masters rich. Using FEAR, DESPAIR, DESPERATION to keep the ones who’s world they had seized as their own too terrified to resist to dare to rebel?

An earlier encounter with them had left one race with a hatred of them that went beyond all reason, well some might say.
They hunted them. Not for sport but to follow their Gods.. those who gave them the power, had freed them from the first of that accursed kind..
The Cflen.. their spies had learned of this colony. Their spies were told to tell their own they had nothing to fear from them.
Only the Huma(a) would now face an enemy that was so terrifying that consumed all in its wake and CONSUMED was just that
as the Human(a) were swallowed whole by their dragon like creatures.. the ones called the ‘Fodawke’ .
The Cflen had co existed with those creatures until the Human(a) had trespassed onto their world.. changed them forever turning those creatures into weapons against the Cflen enjoying the games of seeing them having to compete to survive not only against each other but as food for the BEAST..
Finally they had been sent the means to their salvation thanks to their prayers being answered by the one called TOLGANI who had given them the means to take over the beast turn it back into its former now their SLAVES.. obedient compliant BEASTS.
However every FODAWKE had an ingrained memory embedded into its psyche.. that it was the Human(a) who had given the Cflen the means to enslave them.. to take away their former power.. that rage, that HUNGER.. for the Human(a) now facing them and now eaten alive.. ?
They did not belch fire, they attacked, intelligent and always with their own Cflen rider.. surrounded, crushed, ate.. followed by the ocassional belch and even farting.. They found the Human(a) delicious.. not interested in any other speicies UNLESS their riders were attacked or they were directly attacked.
